Once upon a time in a land not so far away a medieval maiden found herself lost in a world of drab clothing with an empty wardrobe.
Being an innovative sort, she decided to create a fairytale world, and better still to share it with you all.
And so in 2003 the clothing emporium 'Dare' was created...
What an adventure we had, from our first shop behind the funeral directors in Penryn (an appropriate location some may say), to our Redruth shop where in March 2005 a fire took out 4 buildings on the street and stopped short from burning us down by a mere few feet. We took the hint it was time to move on so opened and expanded into our shop in Truro. The summer of 2007 saw our web sales soaring but our bricks and mortor shop sales declining, so we took the brave leap and decided to close our Truro shop to be able to dedicate our time and attention to our website.
So here we are today - Dare is the friendly Goth shop, where we will dispel the myth that gothic clothing is dark and foreboding and only to be worn with a frown. Here you will be greeted with good old fashioned customer care; whatever your shape or size we believe in finding the perfect outfit for your special occasion and everyday wear with a difference.
